JESUS - extraordinary, ordinary

"Why were you searching for me," he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house.{Luke-2:49} Every year Mary and Joseph went to Jeruselum for passover;however when Jesus was twelve and they went, he did not leave with them when time to go,they did not know he had stayed behind. He had stayed and talked to the teachers, listening to them and asking questions. His Mother Mary was in distress over this for she did not understand how he could do this to them. Jesus went back and stayed with them until he was eighteen years old. He grew both in wisdom and knowledge. God was preparing him for what was to come.At the age of twelve he learned who his Father truly was, yet he did not reject his earthly parents. He lived with them and grew, he helped his earthly Father Joseph. Since Jesus was the eldest of their children he helped build as a carpenter with Joseph. Even though he knew who God was, he was still obedient to his human parents.
Mary and Joseph did not understand just what Jesus would face later on. They raised him just as any other parent would raise a child. We raise our children, we teach them right from wrong, tell them of Christ and raise them in hopes that they will follow the path that God has laid out for them. Even though it is hard we must let go when our children reach adulthood. It is very hard to send our children out into the world, but we must put our faith in God, that he will teach them the way even when we cannot be there to continue to teach them.Jesus was just an ordinary man, so trust in God that your child as ordinary as they may be will be a devoted servant of the Lord, Let us pray.
Dear Lord, thank you for your many blessings. Thank you for sending your only begotten son that he to would live his young life as an ordinary every day person, so that he would understand us as the weak, human beings that we are. Thank you for allowing us the gift of eternal life through your son  Jesus Christ. That he would die on the cross so that we would be saved. Lead me through this life daily dear Lord that I may do that which you have set forth for me to accomplish on this earth. In Jesus name we pray,Amen..
