As seasons come and seasons go, we all begin to grow older, wiser, and we truly begin to see life for what it really is. Our life is a collection of memories that we have stored up in our minds to think about and share with those we hold near and dear to our hearts, but the most important of all we achieve in this life is by what we do for our Lord. What have we done to make him proud of us, that makes him happy to call us one of his children. I have found out that it doesn't matter how great the things we do are, how much money we will raise for a charity, how big the church we call our own will become, how much we will learn in school or where our careers will takes us. What makes him happier I believe than anything else is how much we truly love him, how much me honestly trust him. Will you give it all up to him? Will you or I give up everything we own without hesitation, knowing that he will take care of us and we will not have to worry about anything. I believe what makes him happiest, is when we stop to say hello to a dirty, homeless stranger on the side of the road that nobody else has taken the time to even notice he existed until just now. What makes our Father God happiest, is when we give without hesitation on the spur of the moment not because you had to think about it first or how much you could give without it hurting your pocket. I know that when we allow his light to shine through us that this is when we have definitely made him the happiest. When we love all out hearts, when we take the time to realize that what we want does not matter as much as what we do with what time we have on this earth. As you go through today, tomorrow and the days to come. As the holiday seasons approach you and your family, let His Light Continue to Shine through everything you do for that light is LOVE of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you on this day to thank you for all you have given to us. For all the love and joy and blessings to have brought into our families lifes and homes. Thank you Lord for letting your loving light shine through each of us in the sometimes little things we do Lord but you make us realize it isn't about size or quantity but about love for one another. Lord please continue to use our bodies as your vessel Lord that we all continue to do as you would have us do daily. Be with the poor, the sick, the dying, the hungry, the homeless, and all of the children of this world Lord, keep them all safe from harm and sin on this day and days to come. In Jesus name we pray, Amen....

I am so Blessed
As a new school year begins I am once again faced with having to live with the fact that my beautiful daughter is once again away at college. I was blessed with having her home for the summer, but it just wasn't long enough. There wasn't enough time, time to spend with the most precious daughter in the world, time to hold her in my arms and tell her just how much I love her, time to sit and reminisce about the days of old when she was a little girl with not a care in the world and only love in her heart. In writing this I remember the day she phoned me so excited that she had memorized this Bible verse and as I read it today I realize that this is my daughter, she is so full of this love, the love that the Lord has ask all of us to practice in our everyday living. I have been so blessed with the gift of a child whose heart is so full of light of Christ that she wants nothing more that to share that light and love with all. God has given me the most beautiful gift a mother could ever ask for, a daughter so full of joy and love and goodness.
1 Corinthians 13:4–8a
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance ... love will last forever!

Sorry I've Been Away So Long
I realized today as I was looking through the past year of blogging and all the days I posted a devotional in hopes of helping someone to become closer to God, closer to loving your neighbor, your family, your friends, that I have failed in almost all of the above because I closed my heart to all of you when I closed my lap-top and put my life on hold just so I could go through the motions of wallowing in my own self pity. There is know excuse for what I have done to each of you but I realized also that I miss you all so very much. There is nothing I can do to bring back the sister that I lost so tragically to an illness that had know remorse for taking such a beautiful life but there is something that I can do to help bring a peace of fulfillment to the living, so please accept my apologies for abandoning you for so long. I have missed each of you more than you could possibly imagine. Many of you have said that just being able to read my daily devotionals helped to bring clarity to your day, a smile to your lips and a joy to your heart but please know that you too have done the same for me. My promise to you for the remainder of this season is to come back to you daily once again to bring you my DAILY BIT OF WORD and to share with you a line of scripture in hopes that in some way I may be able to reach out and touch someones life in a spiritual message from our gracious Lord and Savior.
Let it be known that he who seeks the world without God in it will travel a long, lonely and unfulfilled life but he who seeks the Lord God daily and whole heartily will find that life is filled with a spiritual bliss, a life filled with love, peace and all that is good.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
(Psalm 22:26)
The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
(Psalm 145:15,16)
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
(Isaiah 55:2)
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
(Isaiah 58:10,11)
Let it be known that he who seeks the world without God in it will travel a long, lonely and unfulfilled life but he who seeks the Lord God daily and whole heartily will find that life is filled with a spiritual bliss, a life filled with love, peace and all that is good.
